About Us
Leslie and Mario Aleixo have been designing, manufacturing and installing custom window treatments for almost 20 years. First as consultants/installers for Calico Corners, Country Curtains and Decorating Den, they later took on projects for several local and national design firms. Eventually they decided to focus on their own creations for regional clientele by forming Sew Perfect Windows.
Sew Perfect Windows offers residential and commercial design services, concentrating on custom window treatments, such as draperies, shades, blinds, shutters and other home décor items. Since 2006, they have been working with clients creating spaces with a wide range of styles from traditional to contemporary design.
The resume of projects spans from local one window residential projects to large projects like the Rotunda at the Ronald Reagan Building, the Swedish Ambassador’s Residence, the Brazilian Embassy and the restaurant at Mount Vernon Country Club.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Mario and Leslie settled in the Washington metropolitan area in the 1980’s and have lived in the Waynewood neighborhood of Alexandria for 25 years. They enjoy the road less traveled, spending time with our family and friends as well as contributing to make our community a better place to live.
